How does Bannked work?
You produce your sample at home and securely drop it off at our central London hub during our beta phase. Your sample is then analysed (where applicable) and frozen under strict laboratory controls for long-term storage.
Post-beta, we’ll expand to additional UK drop-off locations to improve access nationwide.
Do I produce my sample at a clinic?
No. Bannked is designed for at-home sample production. You’ll collect your sample privately at home and then drop it off at our designated location within the required timeframe.
What happens to my sample after drop-off?
Your sample is handled by trained professionals, processed under controlled laboratory conditions, and frozen using clinically established cryopreservation methods. It is then stored securely for long-term use.

All samples are stored only at facilities regulated by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) and registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). These standards ensure strict governance, traceability, and clinical oversight at every stage.
Where applicable, samples are stored using the TMRW Life Sciences CryoRobot, an advanced automated cryostorage system designed to reduce human handling and enhance sample security. This technology helps safeguard against errors while maintaining consistent ultra-low temperature storage.
From collection to long-term storage, all samples follow clear chain-of-custody protocols, with privacy and discretion built into every step.
Will Bannked offer home collection with courier shipping?
Yes — Bannked can support home collection with courier shipping, subject to prior arrangement.
If you require courier collection, you’ll need to contact the Bannked team before placing an order so we can confirm feasibility, timelines, and handling requirements. Additional costs will apply depending on your pick-up location and logistics.
During our beta phase, in-person drop-off remains the standard option to ensure quality and control, with courier services offered on a case-by-case basis.
